Due to the unfavourable geological characteristics of the building site, this hall was originally designed as a basement building and the load-bearing structure was fundamentally changed. The general contractor withdrew from the project during the rough-construction phase. Our work consisted in consultations, on-site resolution of structural details and formulation of a static calculation for documentation of the change made to the structure prior to its completion. The building is a three-storey hall with concrete foundations, steel columns and girders, ceilings composed of sheet metal and concrete and load-bearing walls of water-shedding blocks.
